• What is Taxi Chef ?

Taxi Chef is Wausau's newest restaurant delivery service.  We deliver your favorite restaurant food right to your home or office.  We also specialize in catered group lunches. Our experience staff can help you with a menu for your next speacial event.  Give us a call 715-848-5858 or order online. 

• How do I order from Taxi Chef?

You may visit our website at www.taxichef.com and order online 24 hours a day,  or you may call our office at 715-848-5858 to place your order with our staff any time between 9AM and 8PM Monday thru Saturday.

When should I order?

Please order an hour in advance to place restaurant orders of less than 10 people.  If you have a large group or a catered lunch, please order 24 hours in advance.  Exceptions can always be made depending on how large the group is and how busy the restaurant or caterer is.  If it is a large group and it is less than 24 hours please call instead of ordering online.

• Where do you deliver to and what are your delivery fees?

If we are delivering to Wausau, Schofield, Rothschild, Weston, Rib Mountain, or  Kronenwetter there is a $3.99 charge for delivery; Mosinee Industrial Park and City of Mosinee delivery is $5.99  Catering delivery for parties of 10 people or more in the Wausau area is always $3.99 an additional $3.99 for each resturant after the first. Please call our office for catering delivery prices to the surrounding areas such as,  Antigo, Athens, Birnamwood,  Clintonville,  Edgar,  Elcho, Hatly, Medford, Merrill, Minaqua, Shawno, St. Point, Wisconsin Rapids ect...

• Is there a minimum order?

Yes,  for regular restuarant orders there is a $20.00  minimum order.  For catered  lunches there is a 10 person minimum.

• How much should I tip?

Gratuity is a huge part of our driver's income.  In fact it accounts for about 90% of their wages.  Please keep in mind that our delivery drivers are using their own vehicles and gas,  and they are working hard to get your food to you in a timely manner so a gratuity of 15% to 20% is greatly appreciated. A 15% gratuity will be automatically added to orders that are over $50.00 in the Wausau area.  If it's an out of town order, a 20% gratuity will be automatically added as well.

• How do I pay for my meal?

Taxi Chef accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.  We also accept local checks with a valid ID.  If you are using a credit card, your card will be authorized immediately and your driver will have a receipt for you.  If you are paying with cash or check you will need to give it to your delivery driver upon delivery of your food.

• When is Taxi Chef open?

You can place an order with Taxi Chef by phone, (715-848-5858) Monday thru Saturday, between the hours of 9AM and 9PM, OR place your order online at www.taxichef.com  24 hours a day, and if it's an advanced order just  click on delivery time and date.  For advanced orders one of our staff will contact you shortly via phone to verify the advanced order. Taxi Chef delivers Monday thru Friday from 10:00 am-1:00 pm for lunch  and again from 5pm-8pm for dinner.  We deliver on Saturday from 5pm- 8pm for dinner.  At this time Sunday is our day off!

        Do you serve drinks?

Yes!! Taxi Chef proudly serves Coca-Cola and Pepsi products. Choose from a variety of 12oz.  sodas and bottled water. We also have orange and apple juice in 12oz. bottles.

Please Note: Taxi Chef has changed ownership as of February 1st. 2006. In light of this we will no longer be honoring any gift certificates issued before February 1st 2006.
